IslingtonCS is committed to protecting your privacy when you use our services. This privacy notice sets out how we use and manage your personal data. Where we refer to “personal data”, this means data which relates to you and which personally identifies you either directly or indirectly. This personal data might be provided to us by you, or provided by someone else or it could be created by us.
This privacy notice covers the IslingtonCS website found at https://www.islingtoncs.org, including all sub-domains (e.g. https://safeguarding.islingtoncs.org). Websites linked to and from IslingtonCS are not covered by this policy.
IslingtonCS is owned and maintained by Islington Council and the Islington Safeguarding Children’s Board (ISCB). Islington Council and the ISCB are joint data controllers of your information on IslingtonCS. Both can be contacted at 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR.

Islington Council and the ISCB will use your contact details and information about your place of work in order to manage your training, send you newsletters, and update you on new courses.
Where personal data is requested, the data will be used by the London Borough of Islington and the Islington Safeguarding Children’s Board for the stated purposes only.
We may pass your details on to third-party service providers, including individual tutors and training providers, who are contracted to deliver a request, such as training. These third-parties are obliged to keep your details securely, treat them confidentially and will use them only to fulfil the request.
When you register with IslingtonCS, we capture sensitive data, including your ethnicity, sexual orientation and whether you have a registered disability. This is used for reporting purposes only and we are not able to match this data to you individually. This data is never shared, and can only be viewed or changed by each individual user.
All of the data we hold on you, including sensitive data, is stored on data servers based in the UK.
There are different ways in which you may access or use the services available on IslingtonCS. You may use our services as:
IslingtonCS will use your data in the following ways:
We can also send email updates to you about courses you might be interested in, should you give us consent to do so. You can choose to opt-in to these from ‘Course Alerts’ in My Profile and Bookings. Course alerts are sorted by category, event type, and target audience and are set in each channel (Schools, ISCB, Early Years, and Social Care and Family Support).
If you are set as an event tutor, we will display your name against events for which you are the tutor. This is visible by any user on IslingtonCS, including users who haven’t registered if the course is a public course.
At no point can any user, including system administrators, see your password, or the information you provide in the equalities monitoring form.
You can request your account be deleted at any time by emailing csonline@islington.gov.uk. When your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to log in to access your training record and your data will be removed from IslingtonCS.
If you leave an establishment, we can update your account to show that you no longer work there. Your data will remain on IslingtonCS, but the establishment line manager will no longer be able to view your training record or book you on any new training. You are able to join a new establishment, if applicable.
If you do not join a new establishment, and you do not request that we delete your account, we will retain your information for a period of seven years for auditing and fraud purposes.
We need to process your personal data for a number of different reasons and these are our legal bases for processing. We also need to keep your personal data for reporting and to comply with our legal obligations.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how people use IslingtonCS.
